Bio

I’m John Stewart, and I’m kind of a Creative Gadabout.

A Creative Professional with over 20 years of diverse experience developing marketing and educational content for recognized brands like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Airbnb, THX, Sega, & Hard Rock Cafe. As well as crafting entertainment content with some of the industry’s creative leaders— NBC Sports, Digital Kitchen, SuperFad, & Radium SF.

My work has received numerous awards and honors, some of which include: Communication Arts, Print, The One Show, The London & New York Film Festivals, Clios, Tellys, and a United Nations Award Silver Medal for Public Service Advertising.

Also a practicing fine artist, my work has been exhibited internationally in Stockholm & Budapest; nationally in New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Honolulu, and the art metropolis of Kansas City. Some of that work can be seen here: www.hereistheanswer.org

I’ve self-published three art books, the first No Future was available in New York City at Printed Matter Inc, 23 Months and One Day, a compilation of the work created while completing the MFA program at SFAI, and the latest is Trying Hard To See Stars in A Daytime Sky in conjunction with a 2009 Chicago gallery solo show of the same name.

My illustrations have been published in Dazed and Confused, Day in Day Out No. 2, and Mesh. I’m a collaborator and core contributor to Nice Collective; a global fashion brand based in San Francisco known for it’s trend setting aesthetic. I also create work with photographer Michael Martin under the collective name Big Brothers Of The East Bay.
